The new middle school will serve up to 375 students initially, with future expansion possible to handle up to 425 students. The addition will include 13 large classrooms, a gymnasium, a science lab, a computer lab, a library/media center, an in-school suspension room, a cafeteria and a band room.
Although the needs identified during design development were estimated to cost $200K more than the Board’s budget, innovative bidding techniques and scope packaging resulted in actual bids 5% less than the Design Development budget, allowing the Board to meet ALL their needs for less than the original budget
